Rural village
Canalda is a small and quiet village, located in the municipality of Odèn, in the northwest of Solsonès. A perfect village for a rural getaway for couples, family or friends. Poble Rural Puig-Arnau Pubilló groups a total of 12 farmhouses and spaces that had been of great utility for the old neighbors of the area as the carpentry or the corral. Currently, all these spaces are rehabilitated and offer the possibility of a comfortable and pleasant stay with all the services to which we have become accustomed today.
The complex also has different facilities such as an indoor swimming pool, gardens, soccer field or playground, among many others. Thanks to its privileged environment you can do canyoning, climbing, via ferrata, paragliding, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking and many other activities.

Old Trade Corners
Discover the spaces where the high mountain trades were carried out such as the haystack, the lime kiln, the shepherds’ hut, the enclosure for the sheep, the coal bunkers and the old beehives to make honey. The corner of the old trades is a tribute to the history of our culture.
Ca la Rita
This cave located in the Roca de Canalda has been inhabited since prehistoric times.
In the 18th century it began to be used as a dwelling and until recently this house was still used by a woman named Rita. Although today it is uninhabited. Nowadays, different routes pass by its side. Find out more on Wikipedia.
Mushrooms
The Solsonès has a climate and relief that makes a great wealth of vegetation, so in autumn, when the rains have begun, it is time to go mushroom picking, but always responsibly. The Solsonès region has a lot of natural wealth, so there are many different paths and depending on where you go you will find some mushrooms or others. For example, in the northwest direction of the Mitges mountain range you will find white mushrooms due to its humid climate. If you like to practice sports you should know that we have different facilities. We have spaces to practice the most common sports to other more special ones. Here you can enjoy our petanque, soccer, volleyball, badminton or basketball courts. But we are also next to a marsh that will allow you to kayak or enjoy our archery facilities.
Adeventure Sports
Tibetan Bridge
Inspecting the Canalda route to the Emboscats cave there is a Tibetan bridge. This bridge is 35 meters long and serves to cross the pool that forms the “Rasa de la Perdiu”. It is a long bridge of considerable height, but suitable for children. During the Civil War, the cave was used as a hideout. The itinerary, in addition to being beautiful, is very simple and has a duration of 3 hours.
Black Hole
Very close, in the municipality of Granera we find a “black hole” of conglomerate. It is an optimal narrow hole for speleology. Different routes pass through this point, such as Granera passing through the Pedró, the Còdol de Castellar, the Pantà Marcet and the Tutes.
Barranquism
Ready to live an experience full of adrenaline? Solsonès has many options for active tourism thanks to its natural environment. Canyoning is one of these options to do in company. Two possible ravines to live an unforgettable experience are: the circular route of Torrent d’Urgell and Coll de Port in Vall de Lord. Both routes are easy.
Climbing
Do you like being in touch with nature? The characteristics of the Canalda pathways require a continuous effort of the forearms, perfect to demonstrate your resistance and mental strength. Two climbing routes to enjoy are: Via dels Jubilats (V 200m – 2h duration) and Cresta de Montnou and Cresta de Sahara Lliure (IV 135 m, IV 100 m – 2h and 30′ and 1h and 30′ duration).
Via ferrata
Canalda has spectacular views, so we recommend these two via ferratas: Vía Ferrata Puig Arnau de Canalda (K2) and Via ferrata Puig Arnau de Canalda to Salt d’Aigua de la Perdiu (moderate difficulty). The first is a fast-start route, a vertical shortcut, for hikers and canyoners who come from the Urdell ravine and do not want to make the entire ascent trip to Cal Pubilló. The second is a circular route that passes through unique spaces, such as the Cova del Moros or Ca la Rita.
Hiking and RG1

Puente Tibetano
Inspeccionando la ruta de Canalda hacia la cueva de Els Emboscats hay un puente tibetano. Este puente mide 35 metros de longitud y sirve para cruzar la poza que forma la “Rasa de la Perdiu”. Es un puente largo y de altura considerable pero apta para los niños. Durante la Guerra Civil, la cueva fue usada como escondite. El itinerario, además de precioso, es muy sencillo y tiene una duración de 3 horas.
Agujero negro
Muy cerca, en el municipio de Granera encontramos un “agujero negro” de conglomerado. Se trata de un agujero estrecho óptimo para la espeleología. Diferentes rutas pasan por este punto, como la de Granera pasando por el Pedró, el Còdol de Castellar, el Pantano Marcet y las Tutes.
Barranquismo
¿Preparado para vivir una experiencia llena de adrenalina? El Solsonès tiene muchas opciones para realizar turismo activo gracias a su entorno natural. El barranquismo es una de estas opciones para realizar en compañía. Dos posibles barrancos para vivir una experiencia inolvidable son: la ruta circular del Torrent d’Urgell y Coll de Port en el Vall de Lord. Ambos recorridos son fáciles.
Escalada
¿Te gusta estar en contacto con la naturaleza? Las características de las vías de Canalda exigen un esfuerzo continuo de los antebrazos, perfecto para demostrar tu resistencia y fuerza mental. Dos vías de escalada para disfrutar son: Vía de los Jubilados (V 200m – 2h de duración) y Cresta de Montnou y Cresta de Sahara Libre (IV 135 m, IV 100 m – 2h y 30′ y 1h y 30′ de duración) .
Via ferrata
Canalda tiene unas vistas espectaculares, por eso te recomendamos estas dos vías ferratas: Vía Ferrata Puig Arnau de Canalda (K2) y Vía ferrata Puig Arnau de Canalda hasta Salto de Agua de la Perdiu (dificultad moderada). La primera es una vía de salida rápida, un atajo vertical, para los senderistas y barranquistas que vienen del barranco del Urgell y no quieren dar toda la vuelta de subida hacia Cal Pubilló. La segunda es una vía circular que pasa por espacios únicos, como la Cueva del moros o Ca la Rita.
Senderismo y GR1
Por el mismo Pueblo Rural Puig Arnau-Pubilló y sus alrededores pasan diferentes rutas ideales para hacer senderismo. Además también pasa el GR1, un sendero de largo recorrido que nace en Empúries y finaliza en Finisterre. En este enlace encontrarás 5 rutas señalizadas realmente preciosas.
